Okay, I have to add a comment for anyone who’s fixating on the word “India.” As much as I adore Indian food (especially a RED HOT vindaloo), don’t for one instant think that Poppy is an “Indian restaurant”. It is a foodie gem, ranking right up there with Union or Spring Hill or Tom Douglas restaurants, and one of my all time Seattle favorites. You’ll see the Indian influence in unique presentations and brilliant new fusion dishes. The Thali plates alone are so worth a trip. I don’t know what “Thali” means, but here’s my home-made translation: yummy-many-flavored-foodie-treats. They are my #1 happy meal in this town.
